37 PEACES
the puzzle of an epiphany

THE pages of this book map together fragments of an updated version of a woodblock image that was first published in 1499 by the famous and revolutionary Venetian book publisher, Aldus Manutius, in a book named Hypnerotomachia Poliphili. Like reading a street directory, the reader can connect these fragments, and other, larger ongoing features across this image, navigating to the point, perhaps, where all the pieces finally fall into place,

in a sudden moment of insight.

What is the epiphany in 37PEACES that awaits the reader?
